After much cursing and swearing and pulling out of hair, I have managed to get an old PC up and running and online :-) Hopefully it will keep me going until i get my other one repaired.

Getting my 'puter back tomorrow :) Turns out there was dust clogging the power supply unit causing one of the fans to stop working.
told u it was POWER SUPPLY
Ye didnae mention dust!!!
