Africa - Part 10: The Road to South Africa
The 4am start was definately a good idea as we managed to get nearly half way down the road before the traffic started to get busy, and we managed to clear the 40+km stretch of serious potholes in relative comfort. After a week getting used to the Mozambique way of things, it was a hell of a lot less stressful than the way up. The only hold up was in Maputo where, ironically, there was roadworks. We got through the border in about 45 mins and breathed a sigh of relief.
